Bader Academy is a special school which opened in September 2020, and which provides 120 places for children and young people, aged 5-16, who have an Education, Health and Care Plan with a primary diagnosis of Communication and Interaction Difficulties.
We are seeking to appoint a SENCO to support our students to “be kind, be safe, be ready”. Looking to start in September 2025, or sooner if possible.
Our ambition and yours will be that Bader is a centre of excellence for both the specialist provision and for promoting the latest inclusive practices across education.

Our Opportunity
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible SENCO to join a team of dedicated staff who are committed to providing an excellent learning environment and become part of a successful leadership team in a busy working environment.
Ideally qualified (or working towards), you will be responsible for ensuring school complies with all its statutory requirements around SEND. An excellent communicator with a proven track record, you will be the designated teacher for LAC, chair Annual Reviews, attend Tribunals and lead on the delivery and development of SEND.
As part of your role you must be able to respond to the emotional, social and mental health needs of our children and young people. You will be required to ensure the safety of our children and young people and facilitate their access to learning by responding to individual needs.
You will have the opportunity to make judgements on the attainment and progress of our students and be able to help them celebrate success.
