Nexus Multi Academy Trust have exciting opportunities available for bank teaching assistants to join our central team covering assignments within our academy schools.

We have a range of supply assignments available in some of the best special schools and primary schools across South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire, from Nursery age children to young adults in Further Education.

Our Opportunity

We are looking for confident, adaptable and enthusiastic candidates with a passion for working with children and an interest in the education sector.

Perhaps you are a future aspiring teacher, a student or graduate or looking to enter the education sector? Or you may be an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to work flexibly and have the opportunity to manage your own diary and work across multiple locations to challenge and develop your practice.

We have opportunities for day to day, part time and full-time assignments which can lead to long-term and permanent placements.

Requirements for the role include:

Your responsibilities as a bank teaching assistant will include supporting teaching and learning activities in the classroom and around school under the leadership of a qualified teacher. You may be required to support pupils in a one to one sessions or in a small group, or supervise lunch / break duties.

Knowledge of SEN will be advantageous and you must be able to respond to the emotional, social and mental health needs of our children and young people. You will be required to ensure the safety of our children and young people and facilitate their access to learning by responding to individual needs, which may include personal care.
