Would you like to be a School Governor?
We have a number of opportunities for parent and community governors to join the Academy Councils across a number of schools in the Nexus Multi Academy Trust. As you can see on this website, our schools are located across Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley and North Nottinghamshire. You can find out more about each school by clicking on the logos on the Home Page and you will be taken to the school websites.
Governors are volunteers who have an interest in improving outcomes for children and young people.
As a governor you would work alongside other people in the Academy Council for the school. These are made up of Staff Governors, Parent Governors, Community Governors, Headteacher and officers from the Nexus Central Trust Team. As a Parent Governor you would need to have a child who is a pupil on roll at the school you are interested in.
As a team you would receive information and reports related to the school’s
Self-Evaluation School Improvement Plan Pupil and Community Voice Meetings are scheduled in the daytime during the school day or evenings, depending on the individual school and the dates are set a year in advance. Meetings generally last for 2 hours and there is one meeting per term.
